Born and raised 15 minutes outside of Washington D.C., Amalie has always been a true Texan at heart. What originally started as a passion for Texas football turned into an overall love for the state. She vowed she would one day live here and through hard work and determination, she got to Texas as fast as she could.
Amalie was a competitive cheerleader for seven years. At age 16, she injured her back. To recover from a slipped disc, she designed her own program of cardio training, strength training, and stretching and has been pain free for years.
She firmly believes that everyone should have access to great coaching and knowledge of proper exercise technique. As Coach Mo says, “Being fit isn’t just a look, it’s a feeling.” April can totally relate. Having been a high school athlete and avid runner in college, April knows how amazing it is to feel and look strong, fit, and alive. But she wasn’t always so fit. Before earning her personal fitness trainer certification, April spent 10 years sitting behind a desk. During that time she struggled with weight gain, fatigue, and pain in her lower back, shoulders, and neck. Ten years was enough! Now, pain free, she has made fitness an integral part of her life.
As a member of the Coach Mo’s Elite Fitness team, April teaches people about the awesomeness of the human body by guiding them through individualized fitness training programs designed to make their bodies feel and look great. April also helps individuals who want to start a fitness program but are limited by chronic pain. As a certified corrective exercise specialist, April helps clients identify the sources of their chronic pain, teaches them how to perform exercises designed to reduce their pain, and gets them ready for more advanced workout sessions. Coach April says, “Let’s do this!”

Andrea graduated from Austin School of Massage in 2003. With an interest in holistic and prenatal massage, she began her massage work primarily with expectant moms and dads and soon became a certified Doula. In 2008 Andrea began working at Massage Envy and discovered an overwhelming need for sports and deep tissue massage. As a result, her focus shifted to athletics and fitness. She began volunteering her massage therapy services for a variety of sports teams including the A&M swim team, an Austin Rugby team, the Texas Roller Derby teams, and several marathons. She used these volunteer opportunities to learn all she could about what the body could do and found her own passion for personal fitness. She has since lost 45 pounds and is the healthiest she has been in years.
In her 13 years as a massage therapist, Andrea has developed a deep understanding of the human body and knows how different approaches can benefit her clients. In addition to sports and deep tissue massage, reflexology or foot massage can help with low back, glute, quad and hamstring issues; neck massage can help with headaches, forearms, and carpal tunnel; and Thai massage can loosen the entire body through stretching and compression. Learning how people and their bodies respond to these different modalities has made her a better therapist and she believes everyone–adults, teenagers, and children–can benefit from massage.
